The OT Conekshun
Smooth. Romantic. Soulful.
Otis "Big O" Tarkington, a native Texan, is a consummate percussionist, producer, and songwriter and has been in the industry for over 30 years. Big O is the founder and lead percussionist of this high-energy, crowd-pleasing smooth jazz and r&b band known as The OT Conekshun. Otis had the pleasure of playing with renowned artist Ella Fitzgerald at the age of 12. He has also played with well-known artists such as Spyro Gyra, Norman Brown, Brian Culbertson, and Wayman Tisdale to name a few. Otis structures his band and music around Proverbs 3:5-6.
Elliott Dunn, a native Arkansan, began his music career at the age of 10 by playing piano for his local church. As is the case for many other musicians, gospel music, with its soul-stirring, expressive, and often therapeutic melodies and rhythms became a catalyst for his smooth jazz style today. Elliott's musical influences span from modern lyrical, instrumental, and classical. His noted influences are George Duke and Brian Culbertson. As a man of faith, Elliott believes each new day is a blessing and an opportunity improve oneself.
Smooth. Romantic. Soulful.
